Your Credit Union, Nationwide Access

Shared branching is a cooperative network of credit unions. It expands Ardent's reach by allowing you to conduct transactions at thousands of other credit union locations across the country. It’s a convenient in-person service that gives you access to your accounts no matter where you are.

Out-of-State Verification

Starting May 1, 2025, you are required to complete a verification process if you are making a withdrawal outside of your home state. This change is being introduced to enhance security measures and adds an identity verification step to further safeguard your funds and protect you.

You complete this brief verification process using your smartphone or tablet. Follow these steps on your device prior to your transaction:

  1. Visit https://verify.coop.org.
  2. Type in Ardent and select the credit union from the dropdown list.
  3. Enter your Member Number and the last 4 digits of your social security number.
  4. Upload photos of the front and back of your government issued ID.
  5. Take a selfie.
  6. Present the one-time passcode (valid for 20 minutes) to the teller.

You may complete this verification process before entering the branch or when you arrive.

If you choose, you may save your ID and selfie to your device to expedite validation during future visits.

Using your smart phone or tablet, you can go to https://verify.coop.org or scan the QR code available in the Shared Branch you are visiting.
 
As of May 1, 2025, it is required for all withdrawals made by a member using an ID other than the state they are transacting in. This verification step will further safeguard your funds and protect you.
 
An out-of-state ID withdrawal is one where the ID provided by the member is issued by a state other than the state in which they are completing the Shared Branch transaction.

If you don’t have a smart device, the Shared Branch may provide you with a credit union owned tablet to use. However, whether this alternative is available is determined by each credit union.
 
Even if you stored your verification previously, you will need to complete the verification process again since IDCheck is specific to the device.
 
You will need to complete the verification process again with a valid ID.
 
Although a military ID is a valid ID in the teller line, military IDs are not supported in IDCheck due to a federal regulation that does not allow federal IDs to be copied or photographed.
 
Without an IDCheck verification code, the shared branch will be unable to complete your transaction.
