Quick and secure loan payments

MessagePay is a convenient way to make payments on your Ardent loans from a non-Ardent account using your smart phone, tablet or computer. In addition to our other payment methods, you can now submit your payment using the secure payment portal. There is a $5.95 convenience fee for each payment made using MessagePay.

Getting Started with MessagePay 

Here’s what to do the first time you receive your MessagePay reminder text message five days prior to your loan due date: 


  1. Verify your account by entering your member number and date of birth. 

  1. Create a 4-digit PIN. This PIN will be used to verify future payments. 

  1. Add your preferred payment method by selecting Add New Debit Card or Add New Bank Account. 

  1. Submit your paymentYou’ll see a confirmation message after submitting. 

Making Loan Payments after Enrolling 

For subsequent loan payments, you can click on the link in the reminder text message to go directly to the secure payment portal to make payments, add new payment methods and view your payment history at your convenience. You can also bookmark the portal address on your device (or click the link above) for quick access at any time.



Text Message Payment Reminders

You will receive reminders for upcoming payments five (5) days prior to the due date and for missed payments, seven (7) and 12 days after the due date. Carefully review the text message to make sure it is legitimate before clicking. Reminders will be sent from the phone number: 267.668.1026. 


Don’t want to receive text messages from MessagePayYou can opt out of future MessagePay alerts by replying “Stop. 


Opting out will stop delivery of text message reminders, but you can still access the MessagePay portal to make a payment by clicking the button at the top of this page. 


                         

FAQs

MessagePay is another way to pay your Ardent loan using non-Ardent accounts. You can pay by visiting the MessagePay portal website using your smartphone, tablet or computer.

Easily enroll in MessagePay by entering the required information in the MessagePay Portal.

There is a convenience fee of $5.95 per each loan payment. 

You’ll receive automated messages alerting you to upcoming loan payments five (5) days prior to the due date as well as any past-due payments seven (7) and 12 days after your due date if no payment is received - unless you opt out of receiving text messages. 

Yes. You can still make free-free payments within eBanking, but you won’t receive any automated payment reminders via text messages as you did with MessagePay. Alternatively, you can still use MessagePay by visiting the payment portal using the button at the top of this page. 

No. You can easily make fee-free payments by transferring funds from an Ardent accounts within eBanking or by speaking with an Ardent representative. MessagePay is designed to make using external accounts to make payments wherever you are more convenient. 

No. If you already have automatic payments on your loan, you will not need to pay using MessagePay. You can disregard the text alert or keep it as a helpful reminder for your upcoming existing automatic payment will be processed. 

Alternatively, you may choose to set up a one-time payment, weekly payments, or monthly payments in MessagePay at your convenience. 

Yes. You can make loan payments online via eBanking Transfer or Bill Pay without paying a transaction fee. However, there is a $5.95 fee for each payment made with MessagePay.  For a full list of loan payment methods, view our Make a Loan Payment page.

No. Only external (non-Ardent) debit cards, checking accounts and savings accounts are accepted by MessagePay.
